    I have been edging for a week or two now. I'm not getting much out of it, because I know it takes time, but I think today I figured out a key issue: my backside clenches heaps when masturbating. I noticed when I'm moving towards the PONR, my backside isn't necessarily strongly clenched, but my cheeks are pushing in. When I would separate one from the other with my hand, I felt myself move away from the PONR. Maybe it's because I was focusing less on masturbating, but there is definitely a connection.

    I accidentally went a bit far and ended up ejaculating and, while separating my left cheek from my right I noticed just how much my backside clenched.

    Does anyone have any tips for addressing this? That is, how can I relieve some of the tension in my backside when masturbating? How can I stop it from clenching when masturbating? How can I perhaps acquaint myself with the feeling, or at least prevent it from rushing me towards the PONR?

    You are experienceing involuntary kegels, counteract them with reverse kegels. Practice kegels and reverse kegels on your workout days. Don't edge to porn. Become aware of involuntary kegels and the clenching of the butts and try to voluntarily relax them by doing reverse kegels. Make sure you never kegel while edging except when things get out of hand and you approach PONR in which case hold a strong kegel, long enough for the urge to ejaculate to subside. Relax and try to reach a plateau phase at a much lower arousal level.

      I currently do a lot of RKs, but I suppose I should include back RKs, since that would focus on that area more so?

        Slow down your edging. Do it slowly. Feel every muscle movement. Try being relaxed, no tensing. Its important to know your own body how does it work.
