While it's nice to get compliments on your size, if you're going to do PE do it because it make you happy. PE is best done with some sense of objectivity. If you're doing it out of anger or spite, every time you train that's going to be your motivation. Not only will that create negative associations, it's also not the best emotional environment to train in.

While we're definitely here to support you, there are three sides to every story (yours, hers, and the truth). If you angered her she might have retaliated by trying to make you feel small. Needless to say, if that was her tactic it definitely worked. It's possible that that is what has you more upset than anything else- the fact that she was able to make you feel so bad with just a few choice words.

Remember this- words can only affect you to the degree that you allow them to. How much different would her reaction have been if you had laughed instead of started showing insecurity?

Of course, the best course of action would have been to not have bought the subject up in the first place, but what's done is done.

Ok,,,,we need more details about this girl. How old, how long you been together,,,all that stuff. I'm gonna assume she is just a baby (young),,,,and I'm tired of hearing this crap from these females.

I will say that you should NEVER have said anything about sausages in the store or anywhere. If she wants to run her mouth then you listen,,,,otherwise DO NOT contribute anything that is gonna come around and bite you.

I agree with Big Al, you should have played it off cool and calmly. When she made the comment about the hotdog you should have jokingly replied, "Is there a hallway nearby?" Humor and wit can go a long way in defusing these types of situations.
