  • Do I need to take a break?

    I've been doing PE for several months now and seen some awesome results, 8.5" BPEL and 5.75" circumference, but recently I have noticed that my EQ is a bit diminished. Usually my EQ would typically be around an 8-9/10 but lately its been like a 6/10, I just don't get as hard or large as I used to. Also, I have noticed that I don't get aroused nearly as easily as I did before.

    Should I just take a break from PE and masturbation until I feel back to "normal"?

    Congratulations on your gains!

    If you haven't taken a de-conditioning break you should take one to let your body properly recover and when you return to PE maybe focus your routine on EQ, with exercises like light jelqing, edging and kegels.

      I have to ask, how often are you masturbating, and how much porn are you watching? While over training can negatively affect your EQ, so can over exposure to porn and excessive masturbation.

        I should have mentioned that I have been masturbating and watching porn a lot more than usual lately, so yes that has probably contributed to it as well.

          I would say it's the likely cause. Try going a few days without porn and masturbation, see if your EQ improves. I've had spells of excessive porn and masturbation, and when I did both my EQ and PE suffered for it.

            I just took a two week brake because I went backpacking in the Rockies. I expected to lose. Little girth but I got back yesterday and it seems everything has stayed relatively the same, in fact I think I might have grown a little bit length wise too! Decon breaks are always a good idea

              A break is never a bad idea. Keep jelqs in your routine as they can help EQ as BB said. Consider joining us on the AP90 if you would like.

                Hey thanks for mentioning the video that you have on your signature, very interesting stuff and I think I will definitely try to quit porn for good. I wouldn't consider myself an addict to it, but for as long as I have had erections I have gone on and off from watching porn and noticed how my ease of arousal would change with this. Most of the time I see an attractive woman it doesn't really do much for me but I do remember a few years ago I was on vacation and away from the internet for a couple weeks and I saw a hot babe and I instantly got a massive hard on. Definitely going to give this porn abstinence a shot and see where this goes.

                    When in doubt more rest. I'm 46 and what suffered with me is not my EQ but my ability to cum easily. Nothing is worse then banging away for 12-15 minutes and you just want to cum and you can't quite do it. I haven't PE'ed in about three weeks and I have much more control again on how fast I can cum. I can go long if I want or speed things up if I like. Most younger guys are more likely to have no control and are too fast, older guys tend to go the other way. Break are needed.

                      Well laying off the porn and taking a few days off from PE and masturbating to the point of ejaculation seems to have done the trick. Erections at 9/10, I should measure because it looks like my penis is bigger now haha, perhaps I will hit 9" BPEL soon.
