Is straight hair electric clippers good for grooming the shaft?

Of course, I would not use the closest setting because it would pull or cut the skin?

I use a Gillette Mach 3 on my shaft, balls and perineum. Once you're used to being smooth as a baby's butt, you'll never go back to "gorilla" again! Clippers don't cut mine nearly short enough. Fine for trimming the bush topside, but "WE" like ME SMOOTH on the shaft & balls for oral! The GF LIKES me that way, and I can irritate her labia with stubble on my shaft and balls during sex; plus, you're more prone to (painful) ingrown hairs if you let it start growing out! Either the GF or I shave me 2-3 times per week...keeps us BOTH smooth & HAPPY!

I only used the razor for the main jungle area and rarely shaved the shaft that way (scared of cutting).

There's nothing to fear, just stretch your flaccid shaft and shave away! Learning to shave your balls can be problematic, though. I squeeze my balls down to stretch the skin taught, then after letting the gel shaving cream (best) moisturize & soften the hair, just shave closely and smooth both top, sides & behind the balls, along with my perineum. Sac skin above the balls can easily be stretched taught holding your shaft resting on one wrist, stretching the skin with your thumb and indez fingers while shaving with your other hand. It's all about learning how to make your skin smooth to prevent knicks. If you do knick yourself, just keep a steptick pencil (allum with antisceptic) around to instantly stop any bleeding. NO PROBLEMS!
