  • PE or NO FAP ?

    This is my delema. No fap is more important to me but I wish to gain girth.

    Idk in order to jelq I have to edge and if I edge I want to continue to edge and even if I resist PONR the next day or two il release.

    This is why I bought a pump but it seemed like I was loosing EQ after a month and a half of pumping so I started doing jp90.

    I know I prob sound like a pussy to most people but I really need to stop mastubating so I can enjoy a better life and get a girl and have a good relationship.

    So I think I'm going back to pumping at least 3 days a week and stretches 5 days a week.

    No one can convince me that masturbation is somthing I want to do.( i don't care what anyone else chooses to do) I've seen the benifits of abstaining from it. 72 days being my longest streak with other streaks inbetween. It holds me back from a lot I'm blessed to understand this but cursed becuase I struggle to give it up.

    There is a school of thought that I belong to that says if you don't exercise your prostate, you will have issue down the road. Regular ejaculation keeps the prostate healthy. Now, if you are to the point of fapping 2 and 3 times daily, they that is excessive. But edging for training, releasing every couple of days, is both beneficial to your stamina and to your overall prostate health. BTW, my wife also belongs to the same school and make sure I am taken care of to exercise the prostate on a fairly regular basis. She told me - "your not going to have prostate issues on my watch". She is a good woman!

      Depends how old you are. If you are around my age you don't need to ejaculate because when we get older, we will need prostate exams anyways. If something is up around that time, doctors will give you something to calm that down and you will know whether it is worth not ejaculating. If you are on the older side and try NO FAP and start to feel pressure on your prostate, you should probably not try it and just ejaculate. I personally edge after every sessions and don't ejaculate and haven't felt any problems with my prostate(not that i know for sure if there is) and i haven't had blue balls. I personally saw benefits of doing NO FAP and after a while i never felt the need to ejaculate, even during sex.

        I knew I'd get that response lol with all do respect I'm not trying to stop ejaculating forever. What I'm trying to do is abstain from mastubation abd get a girlfriend and if I didn't ejaculate for 90 days or a year it's not gonna kill me.

        I think this "practice" of abstaining is more then just holding back ejactulation. I think it does cuase problems when your edging, watching porn or thinking sexual thoughts and holding back the "urge". So in my case I want to stop thoughts and such related to sex.

        Thinking about sex doesn't get you sex with a girl anyway you have to have confidence and interaction and then you can escalate to sex. Masturbation robs me of confidence, energy, positivity, ect.

        I don't know what it does to others. We all have different paths and issues.

          That is awesome! I do wish I could resist after edging or if I could only edge enough to get 70% erect and stop there. I guess what I'm saying is I have an issue with this and I would give up almost anything to break this habit becuase I really believe my life would be better.

            Masturbation can't rob you from confidence or energy unless you ejaculate. If you feel you lose that, then you are ejaculating too much. Don't rely on porn either or masturbation "urges" will get worse. Stop watching porn and you definitely won't have the need to rub one out. Go at least 10 days without ejaculating and i'm sure things will start changing for you. If you don't already have a girl then you don't have to worry about ejaculating. Focus on getting yourself right before you commit to a relationship. Abstaining helped me get over porn. Also I conditioned myself to last for an hour during my edging sessions so i won't feel the need to bust a nut.

              Captainc, welcome to the forum. There is absolutely nothing wrong with masturbation and cumming. It is normal. This should not affect you getting a girlfriend. I would suggest talking to girls. Just say hi to start.

              When you get a girl and start having sex and if you experience preE, you can work on edging. In fact, I would recommend an edging routine anyway. I am to the point I can last as long as I want with a woman, but I still edge. I cum twice a week. Once with my hand, once with my girl, maybe twice.

              I would say worry about finding a girl first, then you can worry about the sex part. It usually comes naturally.

                No fap is not good, taking breaks is ok but too long does more damage than good. Practice edging, it is the best thing you can do to gain stamina, control and compliments PE routines.

                  You can use less "stimulating" exercises for girth- like the Squeeze. There's still the issue of obtaining some degree of erection for it, though. Still, there's a difference between stimulating yourself just enough for an exercise and masturbating to orgasm- or at least one should have enough stamina and control for there to be a difference.

                    Bottom line is if you want to stop masturbating, stop thinking about wanting to ejaculate during your edging sessions. Think about your goals and what you are trying to achieve while doing this. It depends on you and how bad YOU want it. Nobody else can do it for you.

                      Why, do you say it's not good ? It seems to have helped a lot of guys (especially young ones) who were heavy porn users. What is too long? (these are real questions, I'm interested in your answers)

                      I, personnaly don't do Nofap, I just stopped porn and reduced a lot my masturbation habits (my max without ejaculating is 18 days), and it has helped me feel much better.

                      And to CaptainC, I think you can do jelqing without edging, even if you do it at a pretty high erection level.

                        I can understand the benefit of no porn . However aside from the obvious religious connection how did this weird no fap stuff get traction in the first place?

                          I'm an atheist (or at least agnostic), so no religious reasons for me. It took place mainly, because a lot of young guys watching a lot of internet porn noticed they had problems like PE or severe ED (Porn-induced) ; it happened to me, although I don't think my case was severe.

                          When you masturbate several times a day to porn, you tend to associate orgasm and arousal to the images you see on the screen, your brain is "wired" to porn and the constant novelty (new girls, new practices, fetishes) associated to it : you produce lots of dopamine (neurotrasmitter in our brain, very important in the sexual response) and the receptor to it become less and less sensitive, so you tend to escalate to new forms of porn (novelty), to maintain your arousal levels. Finaly you find your self in real life naked with a girl you like and you're absolutely not turned on, no arousal, ED, you are desensitized : you have trained your brain to associate sexual stimulus with watching people have sex on a screen, and not with real life encounters.

                          So the first thing to do is to stop porn. One of the main ideas is to get your dopamine levels and the sensitivity of its receptors back to normal (a process called homeostasis in biology) ; this takes time (several weeks/months) and cutting back masturbation or stopping it for a while seems to help a lot according to many testimonies.

                          There's more and more scientific evidence (although this topic is controversial in the scientific community) that heavy pornography use has similar effects on the brain as drugs. So the idea behind stopping porn (and masturbation for a while) is not moral or religious, it's a way to improve sex life for those who suffer the bad effects of heavy porn use.

                          These problems affect mainly young men, who grew during a time when acces to porn was illimited at any time because of internet.

                            I disagree with this. You don't have to edge in order to jelq. I know different types of jelqing recommend different EQ, but I'd say as long as your at about 50% you can see benefit. If you're getting full arousal from jelqing you might be risking injury if you're not conditioned to it.

                            In relation to your problem, my main point is you can still do No Fap and PE if you calm down your PE a little so that you aren't 'edging' during your jelqs.

                            I would have a hard time doing No Fap and Edging also. As you say, after a few sessions its time to finish. Not to mention it's healthy every once in a while.
