    Im off to buy a spray from Holland and Barrett today. And will apply it around the pelvic area.

    Gotta be worth a try...

    I have tried this multiple times, orally and topical, but It didn't do anything in my case.

    I tried it for a few days now and have the feeling that I do benefit from the magnesium intake. Especially applying it topically relaxes my muscles. I drink about 1 gram of Mg with water now and had good control a few days ago while having sex. After drinking alcohol and not taking any Mg for the past few days my control worsened today. Am back on the Mg train now and will see how it will go.

    I've tried different products but found that Dr. Sinatra's Broad Spectrum Magnesium Supplement for Healthy Blood Pressure, Strong Bones, and Increased Energy

    really worked for me when others I tried didn't. And I'm not affiliated with the product at all. It has four different types of magnesium which might aid in absorption. I also take a calcium citrate product from Solaray and found it decreased stomach upset.

    I don't have an exact measure of how much magnesium I take daily. Basically, I mix the magnesium flakes with water at a ratio of half-half by volume. Frankly, I have no idea whether it's doing anything on top of actually taking magnesium orally, though there are a lot of people who swear by applying magnesium dermally for other health issues (look up "magnesium oil" on Google and you'll see what I mean).

    Can you please explain your daily intake a bit further.

    Do you not bath in the salt and just drink it?

    I know this is an old thread, but interesting to note that alcohol consumption depletes Mg. from the body,
    as well as coffee and pop.

    I have purchased a mangesium chloride supplement, both topical and one to take internally. I will
    report back here on the weekend with results.
