The test, in a clinical setting, involves squeezing the glans and noting the response via contractions of the sphincter.
A telltale sign of problems on the other end of the spectrum are issues like IKs without any stimuli or uncontrollable spasming with even light stimulation under not-too-heavily arousing scenarios.
Factors like arousal play heavily into how one responds to glans stimulation.Want One FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

Using these diagrams:
https://www.pegym.com/articles/anato...-floor-muscles
I am trying to determine whether its my pelvic floor muscles or my bulbocavernosus but I have found that this region (between my anus and testicles) remains clenched/tight/strained almost all the time.
Even my anus stays clenched.
This occurs regularly throughout the day.
With kegels, the goal (as I understand it), is to stimulate or exercise this area in order to make it stronger.
In my case, I almost feel as though I need to focus on relaxing it.

toothpaste, I have the same exact problem as you. Always clenching throughout the day. Anyone here give us some pointers on how to work towards getting better on relaxing?

There is a ton of info on this in the pre e forum . A range of methods including various stretches like Hindi squat , reverse kegels massage styles etc . Start by looking at the stickes . Hindi squat is a good start point for many.

I know this thread is very old, but I have a question regarding this and no point in opening another thread.
Is it normal to trigger this reflex on EVERY STROKE that hits the glans using a tighter grip? Or that should be counted more as an IK ? I mean there is no exception, if eq is over 80% and glans are swallen, every stroke triggers this reflex.

Funny, I first heard of this a few weeks ago while looking for something else and it made me wonder as well, if I lightly squeeze near the head of my penis then I get an IK, so instinct told me to keep doing that, ala the glans squeezing thread, and maybe you would get used to it and the IKs would become harder to trigger. But then I read that it was a normal response. So hmm. Question is what is the normal sensitivity of it. Also, it's of course not the only cause for IKs.
I'm still fuzzy on what exactly causes an IK to happen -- muscle tightness? But my quads are tight for instance (serious APT) but they don't spasm. I tried Googling for more information but couldn't find any.
EDIT
Regarding the studies linked earlier, one is regarding ED and one is regarding PE. The latency of the reaction was associated with ED while the sensitivity of it was related to PE. So decreasing the sensitivity of it makes sense, but question is, would squeezing and triggering the reflex often actually produce decreased sensitivity? Or might it even strengthen the reflex and make it worse?Last edited by venom888; 09-17-2019 at 11:14 PM.
