  • Porn as high intensity training for PE

I understand why porn is bad for ED, but why is it a problem for trying to overcome PE?

If you are training to last, and edging for 30 minutes every night, eventually being able to go for 30 minutes straight without reaching PONR, then adding porn is upping the challenge, seeing if you can really last with added stimulation, like Goku adding gravity to his training.

So if porn adds stimulation (as a real situation does), shouldn't edging with porn be more akin to high intensity training? Shouldn't lasting longer with porn mean you would last longer in bed, that is, longer than someone who has learned to last longer without porn?

Yet, I've heard some talk that porn is bad for PE.

Is this true, and if so, what's wrong with the logic I just presented?

Without porn I'm more aware of my pelvic floor which is better to learn myself, plateu phase or DOs. Porn is way too distracting which slows my progress down because I don't concentrate on what happens in my body and mind.

I agree with you. This is ONE way to improve Pre-E but then there are other ways also. For example, daily meditation along with positive affirmations. I might give this a try once I've completed my 90 days without porn.

After edging without porn I feel good and after edging with porn I feel like a victim of porn industry.

Maybe there are some quality scenes but usually it's only uuhh uuh aaah aah ooooh. And when I watch it I think 'fuck is this hot but there must be something which is even more hot'.

It's very addictive - probably that's the main reason we search for reaons why it could be useful for us.

See...that's the slippery slope of porn...you will want to find more harder porn to where you may end up on the Dark net of porn. This is why staying off of porn will not only help you become a stronger man...you will be one that is not ruled by industry's standards.

It's more the way you use the porn for edging aswell. Skipping through all the links to keep you on a porn high is like a drug which induces the pre e. There is definitely a diff between just you and the real thing, unsure if porn is going to be the bridging gap that you seek. There must be cases of people trying this?

Based on the replies the concerns of porn are:

                    1. Distracting
                    2. Addicting
                    3. Emotionally problematic
                    4. Sense of being submitted to the industry

(I haven't watched the linked video cuz I'm on the bus so if I missed something new there, apologies)

Therefore, if one is able to 1) avoid being distracted by it and so is able to carry on with proper training in spite of it, as well as 2) not be affected (in terms of PE) by the other negatives, then porn is a better strategy for overcoming PE, on the premise that porn adds intensity.

I think, then, if those 2 conditions are met, the claim - porn while edging is better for lasting longer in bed than no porn while edging - still holds.

                    Right?

I think the key to managing Pron is in Not2Big's quote above. Note that's YOU MANAGING PRON...not pron managing YOU!

I don't know if this plan works out, because porn can decrease your confidence. In this case the habituation to high arousal gets compensated by reduced confidence.

Good theories, and I really like your logical approach. In my opinion, the key here is indeed the focus on adding more stimulation. Porn is *incredibly* well designed to do this, as noted- the survival of its industry is to supply the demand for stimulation. This is why it can be so addicting.

The issue is that edging with porn can sometimes -only- focus on the types of stimulation that porn can provide: it's a flat screen, with audio. You're missing tactile feedback, smells, etc with a real person. If you just use porn, you're missing the thrusting action, the weight of another person that you need to carry in different positions. So porn can be excellent for training your arousal towards visual and audio... but since it's unrealistic, overuse can desensitize you to audio and visuals (seeing beautiful women irl and saying Eh).

Therefore- yeah, you're right. Use it as a training tool. Find some of your fetishes- that's fun. But use it in moderation to avoid the problem of overstimulation of visual and audio, and while you're using porn, make sure that you're also simulating a real sexual encounter that you'd like - change your positions, thrust, take your time, and overall you'll stretch and strengthen your supporting sex muscles. If you're just fappin in a chair to hardcore and done in 5 minutes, those skills won't transfer.

                          Good thoughts dude!
