  • My Progress Thread

    Starting this as a progress log to really get serious. First a little about me, where I started, what I've done so far, where I'm at right now, and my plan forward.

    About me: I'm 27 years old and I've suffered with control my whole life. In college I mostly stuck with condoms and would last maybe about 10 minutes. I then went a couple of years with minimal sexual contact and would only masturbate to go to sleep once a week max, maybe only once every two weeks. I believe my issue is from years of poor habits reinforced by a couple of bad experiences.


    Where I started: I first accepted the fact that I had a problem about a year ago. I was pretty bad, a couple times I had "misfires" before penetration or would reach PONR within a couple of strokes. I would only last past that being heavily intoxicated and even then it would be 5-10 minutes max.


    What I've done so far: For the past year I've been "practicing" with start and stops and experimenting with kegels. I believe my Kegels are real strong as I can hold for 100 seconds easily. I experimented a little with RK but never followed a real routine with them. I've devoted most of my time on start and stops and kegels. When I first started Start/Stops I couldn't make it past 10 minutes. I now have pretty good control 90% of the time. Every now and then it seems like I am stopping A LOT during a session. Even when this happens I make sure to go for at least 20 minutes.


    Where I'm currently at: I practice start-stop 4-6x a week and will only ejaculate once every 3 days. I don't watch porn and will use my very active imagination but sometimes get too excited doing that. I have a long term gf so if we have sex I resent my day counter (every session ends with me ejaculating). I'll switch between using my hands and a fleshlight depending on the sensitivity that day. I always use lube. I am also jelqing a lot (5-10 minutes) prior to start/stops. I have seen improvements in my performance in bed but still struggle with control. I'd say about 90% of the time I finish earlier than I would like, only once before penetration in the past 6 months. I'm lasting about 5 minutes on average after about 2 drinks (not heavily intoxicated but not sober either). Occasionally my confidence will drop due to me seeing little progress over the past year of dealing with this but thankfully my gf is understanding. Still I want to please her and the guy before me she nicknamed 50 shades of Persia...


    Plan forward: Continue with start/stops, increase minimum time to 30 minutes and try to increase intensity steadily. Practice daily affirmations during stretching. Try to work start/stops into sex at least once a week to get used to having sex longer (gf doesn't like stopping, condoms or foreplay so it seems like things are stacked against me).


    Am willing to listen to what's worked for people/routines they've found help. I've read a lot of the success stories so it seems like start/stops is the most effective route.

    Just keep in mind, that your dick will talk to your brain, those two can tell the difference between stimulation/edging (by hand, by yourself) and when you and another person are having an intimate encounter.
    This can be challenging if you have not thought about it.

    Tip: share with your partner you would like help, lasting longer. When you work together like that, the intimacy cam be quite enjoyable.

      A kegel only routine is usually counterproductive . You should be doing more rk .
      There are a range of methodology you have not tried is there a reason for that.?

        We've talked about it but aside from start/stop I haven't really included my partner. I'll talk with her again to see if there are other ways to incorporate her.

          I've been told that by strengthening my muscles and start/stops are the most effective ways to see improvements. I tried RKs for a little bit but no routine and only for a couple weeks. I didn't see much improvement then.

              After the gym today I did the following:

              6 min of Hindi squat while rehearsing my daily affirmations.
              4 min of cobra pose.

              I then warmed up and did 600 jelqs followed by 30 towel kegel raises and then 30 reverse kegels.

              I finished with 25 minutes of start/stop with stopping once getting too close to PONR. Other times I was able to slow down and back off. Did not ejaculate.

              Took a hot shower and did shakes in shower.

                Had sex last night (7/31) and lasted maybe about 7-8 minutes. I felt in control when going slow but once I sped up I busted fairly quickly (under a minute). Today (8/1) I practiced RKs as I walked around through out the day and noticed the only way I could hold it would be to flex my abs. My routine for the day was as follows:

                7 min Hindi squat
                4 min cobra pose
                27 min edging (I stayed slow and at a consistent arousal level for a long time, reached PONR maybe 2 times and was able to back off) did not ejaculate.

                I tried holding RKs while edging but found a lot of tension in the area and would approach PONR too quick.

                  I think I'm starting to feel the difference between front and back RKs. Front RKs feel like you're trying to push urine out faster where as back RKs feel like you're trying to push poo out faster. Does this sound right?

                    It had been a couple days since I last ejaculated so I was a bit sensitive and reached PONR quickly during start/stop. Had to stop more than often and switch between hand a fleshlight. Still I was able to last the full 27 minutes without ejaculating. Later that night gf came over and we had sex. We had been drinking quite a bit and I was able to last for 7-8 minutes. Started in missionary then switched to her on top. Had to stop with her on top twice but she was able to orgasm. Overall I still think I am making slight progress and will take the win ha. Experimenting with holding RKs during edging or just trying to remain relaxed.

                      Had a great edging session today. Went for the full 30 minutes using the fleshlight and had a great sense of control throughout the entire session. Focusing on staying relaxed seems to help more than trying to hold RKs. If I got too close to PONR I would slow down and do several RKs then relax. I was still feeling some IKs but I didn't feel them start until after 5 minutes. After they started I just focused on staying relaxed and was able to continue for the full 30 minutes. I think I experienced some dry orgasms towards the end of the session which was fun. Overall this session helped with my confidence a lot so it is definitely a win in my book.

                          Had sex tonight and lasted about 6 minutes. Had less to drink than previous times last week so I'm pretty happy about it still. Just need to focus on staying relaxed. It's been difficult because I'm only having sex/ejaculating every 4 days so I still get overly aroused. I've noticed that I've had difficulty getting it up for round 2 lately. Before my refactory period was short, under 20 minutes. Now I am struggling to get hard enough for round two. I'm thinking of switching to a 2:3 ratio for kegels/RKs and working in holds.

                          I was reflecting on how far I've come in my journey earlier today. It hasn't been as fast as I would like and I still have a long way to go but progress is progress! Keep with.

                            10 slow cranks in both directions
                            10 min of jelqing

                            40 weighted kegel raises
                            2 100 sec erect kegel holds
                            80 RKs
                            Then practiced RK holds and relaxing the abdomen

                            No edging tonight but did have sex and lasted about 7 minutes and only one stop to switch positions. I felt very in control until I started going faster (hard to say no to a woman begging for it). Not going to edge tomorrow to give myself a mental break. When I start again I'm going to practice increasing the stroke speed and remaining relaxed/in touch with my PF. It seems like there is a weak, constant IK once I start. Will continue with balancing PF out.

                            While it may not seem like much progress has been had my gf has orgasmed the past 3 times we've had sex. Little progress is still progress!

                              30 min edge session without ejaculating. I've noticed that I have a IK whenever I stimulate myself and i can't seem to get rid of it despite trying RKs. I practice holding through out the day and have made progress without using my abs as much. However, when I edge it seems like I can't stop the IK from coming. Its a light one but I think it's contributing to my PE. I'm going to continue with my routine to see if there's any progress.
