    I haven't beat pre-E yet, so I can't give expert advice, but it seems to me that reaching a 9.5 arousal, then ceasing stimulation and kegeling for 30 seconds is not something you can realistically repeat during sex, so maybe shoudn't be a behaviour you make yourself accustomed to...? There are different approaches to edging. The one which makes the most sense to me is trying to keep away from PONR for the entire session (except on ejaculation days), because this is the behaviour we want our penis to learn.

    Week 1 complete-
    What I learned:
    1. I have an IK each up and down stroke.
    2. I hold my breath during sex.
    3. I have no plateau in sex or edging when going at a normal speed. And, if I go very slowly, I am either at a level 3/4 or I’m at the PONR. I cannot sustain a moderately high level of pleasure at all.
    4. I’ve learned to kegel front and back, reverse kegel, massage with a tennis ball, do hindi squats, and have gained some understanding of ballooning and edging - but cannot execute very well.
    5. My frenulum is extremely sensitive.
    6. If I get very close to the PONR, I can lock down a kegel, and then after my control gets much better.

    That’s where I am. I’m gaining understanding of my body, but cannot do anything about it right now. Sex is still at 1-2mins on my back, and a few thrusts in missionary.

    I said I’d give this all I have for 6 months. So, I’m 1/24 weeks through. If pelvic floor imbalance, arousal awareness, breathing, etc are the causes of my PE, then I imagine I’ll make great gains in 6 months. If my cause is something else, then I’ll push on to the next option. Thanks for those who have helped.

    I'm curious about this because I'm still not 100% confident I understand IKs (maybe 80-90%), but is it possible that your 'IKs' are in fact the corpus spongiosum moving as you push & pull it? Which is to say - not the BC muscle at all but actually the penis? Have a look at this illustration and let me know what you think:

    You know, I can’t say I’m completely confident about what exactly is happening. Sometimes, I put my hand down on my perineum while I’m edging to feel what’s tight or loose. I believe what I feel tighten with each stroke is the BC. The thing I feel tighten runs on both sides of the shaft in the perineum. When I reverse kegel, I can loosen that muscle. When I rub the frenulum, which causes IK spasms, it’s that same area that tightens up.4f46d4d21ab8700731e74b77ad7c8744.jpg

    Well, this was bound to happen. I had real sex tonight and it lasted all of 30 seconds. Of course, I knew I wasn’t going to fix this in a week. My edging sessions told me that I hadn’t made any progress in stamina. The first week was about identifying the issues, learning about my body, and practicing the techniques. But, even though I knew I hadn’t put in the work to improve, it still sucks to have a night like this.

    I had an interesting edging session today. It started the same as always, the first 5 mins are really difficult to not reach the PONR. Very intense IK constantly. I have to go at a snail’s pace. RK kegels were not stopping the IKs. From the 5 to 10 minute mark, I did the start/stop method at a more realistic sex pace. Then, around 10 minutes, I reached an arousal level around 9, I stopped, did a hard kegel, and from that point on I didn’t have anymore IK’s. I felt like I could go on forever. I continued to edge for another 15 minutes in a number of different positions.

    I have no idea why that happened. I have never edged and not felt IKs.

    Are you working on your breathing at all? If not, meditation will help. You can pseudo-meditate while having sex to help calm your breathing and excitement levels.

    I am trying to be aware of my breathing, and breathe from the belly. I often find myself still holding my breath. Do you have any specific mediation exercises, or can I follow a general mediation approach?
