Thread: How important are the stretches?
- 01-11-2019 #11
Ok, i've been re reading your post a lot WillGetBetter. How important is this tennis ball part though? I lost my tennis balls and was wondering if I should go out and purchase another if it's super crucial. The reverse kegals are still very hard for me, I've noticed that I can no longer make my pee come out faster, I'll still continue to do the reverse kegals though. Also, how long should I be doing these stretches? I try to hindi squat for maybe 10 minutes and the other stretches for about 30 sec each

I think holding the stretches from 20-30 seconds should be good.
I like the tennis ball stretch because you can pin point the specific area you are stretching. The other stretches are good, but sometimes, for me, it's hard to get the stretch to really work the right spot. In addition to the tennis ball, I have also been using my hands/fingers/knuckles to press into my pelvic floor to stretch specific areas. That works well too, but it's really hard on the hands and it's a bit awkward just because it's difficult to get the hands down in the right position and generate force. So, the tennis ball is easier - and I think more effective than the normal stretches. But, I would do all of them
