Should my quads be very tense and burning while doing hindi squats? Because they are and it's tough for me to hold this position for longer than a minute and I hear people doing it for like 10 min. I wonder if they do it for 10 straight minutes or ie 20 sets for 30sec?
Also, is there a time that I should spend in this position a day minimum or simply the more the better?
At the beginning I was not even able to get to this position, now it's just tough to hold for so long.Last edited by Trys; 02-08-2019 at 08:14 PM.

You will be able to hold it longer as you loosen up. I had real problems with it at first also. 10 minutes straight is a good target. As long as possible is fine. Don't stay so long that you are quivering or getting super tight. Make sure to go ass to grass. It should help relieve the quads some.

If I go fully down it help with releasing quads tightness but then I lose my posture and my lower back/ hips just bend towards my ankles and it doesn't even look like hindi squat. I think this kind of bend I get at the very bottom of this squat position is very common overall even for bodybuilders.

That should be part of the pose. It is fine to get right onto the ankles. It is a different form than weight training. And is useful for other reasons. Add other yoga focusing on the lower back, abs, hips, glutes, pelvis and thighs. Get loose baby.

And also wonder if you guys feel anything being stretched while doing hindi squat? For me it's just burning in quads after some time, but when I changed the form I can last longer in that pose, not feeling any stretching in pelvic floor tho.
