Antidepressants for PE (Zoloft/Sertraline)

Can you tell me some of the side effects you guys have experienced?

Dr prescribed 50mg, but I took 25 for the first week, after reading on the Zoloft reddit and elsewhere. The first three days I was really sleepy. Slept during the day some. Then I think I was normal after that til I went to 50mg. First night on 50 I had something weird happen (documented in this thread) which almost made me quit taking it. But it didn't happen again. For the next few days I had a bit of nausea during the day, and just feeling kinda off at times, and for a week or more I had nausea at night ever night. I'd wake up middle of the night and just feel nauseous. I started taking ginger supplements for the nausea and I think it helped. I don't take it anymore. I took my Zoloft in the mornings. Side effects all went away and I feel 100% fine now, even after going to 75.

Other side effects that people experience, but that I didn't, are stomach upset, insomnia, and increased anxiety. For most people the side effects go away after a couple of weeks. Some people have tiredness that doesn't go away.

btw, the last time I masturbated I actually had IKs -- full-on twitching -- which I haven't experienced for a while now. Yet the zoloft still helped. So that's another reason I think muscle tightness is not the real culprit, but a contributor. I wonder if some people have IKs and no PreE.

I might have gotten the IKs because I've slacked a bit on my tennis ball massage (seems to help the most with it) and pf stretching, in favor of more quad stretching. Also I've been sitting a lot more lately since it's gotten too cold to go out and be active.

But before, days that I would get twitching like that would be a sign that I'd be much more sensitive than normal and have a bad session.

In my three on demand-experiences I felt a slight nausea, I slept very lightly waking up frequently, and I had a generally funny feeling in the head - I felt that the pill did something to my brain. The day after I had a severe headache on the last of these occasions, but that can have been an effect of the bad sleep rather than a direct effect of the pill.

Sorry for asking too much, but i have an apointment with a doctor also and i want to learn more before i go.
Will that fix our PreE permament? We have to take these medicine for ever ? if not how much time approximately?
Last, do you know if there is a possibility to have hair loss?

It's only gonna help so long as you're taking it, so yes, you'd have to take it forever.

Oh headaches is also a side effect I read of but didn't experience. Haven't heard anything about hair loss.

Venom, does it matter what time you take your daily dose of Sertraline? I read the studies saying they took it 3/4 hours before sex. I take mine in the morning at around 8am so this isn't very ideal as would normally have sex in the evening.

I don't think it matters tbh. Look up "steady state" -- once you've gotten to a steady state the levels of the drug won't fluctuate *too* much. The half-life is 24 hours, so after 12 hours you still have 3/4 of it in you, plus 1/4 of yesterday's (after 36 hours). I take mine in the mornings.

I've been on Zoloft for about 2-3 months, 50mg. I'm not sure it's doing MUCH to me sexual wise. I just have a lower EQ but I'm not sure if that's because of porn. Not helping THAT much with my anxiety so I might get it upped. Nothing can kill my high sex drive lol
