I love re-reading old posts with new knowledge
I have to wonder what the implications of this would be now that I seem to have attained some results. I guess either they would return to where I was 3 months ago, with PE problems (shudders), or they'd settle down in balance, implying all this work had "cleared a knot". I'll be honest though, I'm not in a huge rush to find out

Not at all. As for PE, do you think you might suffer from it if you tend to get to PONR quicker than normal / while edging / or anything?

Yup, I just started it. I though that RK would help relax after the workout, and help push some blood into the glans while I warm down.

I have severe PE, like 10-20 second type PE. I can tell that I get involuntary spasms often while stimulating the penis (either through sex or masturbation. Should I stick with JUST RKs or should I also incorporate standard kegals? I've always had strong kegals because before I knew what I know now I would always kegal to try to cure my PE but it never worked, however if I do it while pissing I can stop the flow entirely for a long time and hold it in for an extended period of time.

Hey ProtoJ. I think the most important first step is to get all your pelvic floor muscles (PVMs) fit. I would suggest that if you don't work on them *all* to start with you could end up with one or two muscles being basically useless to you and responding uncontrollably, which will make it really difficult to hone in on where you need to work, and you might even find if you neglect some muscles that you worsen the problem by doing other exercises.
I think once you have basic usage of all your PVMs back it'll become much more apparent to you where you're strong and weak, and then you can start using the information at the beginning of this thread much more effectively.
It's been my mission to eliminate ALL involuntary kegels of any sort, and I think indirectly that approach has helped me achieve a much more balanced pelvic floor overall.Last edited by spanky; 02-18-2011 at 11:24 AM.

On second thoughts, an RK heavy routine could be just the ticket if your standard kegels are already strong. Sorry, you kinda caught me at a time where I'm still trying to understand my own experience... and probably trying to take on too much too, but I do that.
It would be really interesting to see if a strong RK:K routine, like 70:30 or even higher maybe helped you. I would give it a couple of weeks before making any judgement, but if it works for you, you may start to see progress sooner than that.
Are you able to hold back or combat the involuntaries at all? Or do you feel they're kind of out of your control? I think RKs help immensely with that, at least at first, and my suspicion is that with an RK heavy routine you'll find the involuntaries settle down quite quickly.
