    I have said elsewhere, but I thought it was worth saying so on this thread too. When we talk about pelvic floor imbalance, I am coming round to the opinion that this is often a symptom of underuse, and the mere act of exercising all the pelvic floor muscles by performing both kegels and reverse kegels is enough to set the ball rolling.

    I consider the first time I ever did normal kegels. I couldn't hold it at all. I also remember for a while if I tried to hold it, it would feel incredibly weak and wobbly, like when you hold a weight outstretched and the fatigue hits your biceps.

    In that case, sure there's imbalance, but the net result was I think more a result of physical weakness than a significant imbalance. That would also sit with my fairly rapid progress. Now in other cases, sure we might be looking at a stronger overall pelvic floor, and I would expect those to take some time to address. But I would also expect those cases to be more pronounced and obvious (in terms of balance) as to how to tackle them.

    My point is that while I'm sure there are plenty of different cases to me, and I obviously can't speak for everyone I think the most important thing was activating all of those muscles so that my pelvic floor could take steps to right itself.

    I also think from listening to what the guys on this forum say that this is really common.

    Ok so here is a vote for overall strengthening. In the past, when guys have tried to strengthen, they have not included the rk and it ofen has not worked, but here spanky is talking of overall strengthening, including rk.

    I'm thinking aloud here, but maybe overall strengthening is a "square one" exercise for those of us with poorly developed pelvic floor muscles. My thought is that this alone (along with arousal awareness) is probably gonna help a lot of people, as it has me, but if it doesn't, then with that strengthening work done it's easier and probably effective to try to work on RK heavy routines as you suggest. I suspect that PE_Zen's method is effectively an RK heavy routine too, and something that may not work for somebody also doing a lot of standard kegels at other times.

    As I say, I'm thinking aloud. All theoretical, I'm trying to understand my experience here too.

    Yes Pe Zens method is oftrn used in conjunction with my own and in a sense I promote his method as an adjunct to mine. Pity he is not around more.

    +1 - I've always forced kegal to make myself more erect. After reading that post I went and tried it out - and forcing a reverse kegel did make my erection harder - and didn't subside as quick as the normal did. Going to work on this aspect. There's another post about someone learning they could get a big erection while being relaxed - this might be where I'm heading with this.

    Excellent thread, another example of the great work being done here. When I first read the theory of pelvic floor imbalance causing PremE it really made sense to me. Like twopumpchump stated I too have involuntary kegels all the time, I am much more aware of this now after reading this site. During sex I can tell I am tense but any attempt to relax is just laughable. During edging I have a far greater degree of awareness and control. Now I am trying to fit an RK regimen into my daily life.

    Hi. My first post here. I have suffered DE all my life, and for few years I have tried to cure it. I think my problem is exactly as described in quote. It feels like when I get real close to cum, muscle contractions get too long or my whole pelvic area gets kind of a locked and that prevents me to orgasm. After that, erection gets little weaker and for a while there is very little sensation. If I continue, orgasm starts to build up again but same thing happens when I get very close. I have succeeded to relax "right place" few times and I was able to cum, but it happens so rarely that it is very hard to learn how I did it. I also manage to cum if I force it, by tensing my legs very hard, but it is very exhausting, feels so unnatural and orgasm isnt nearly as satisfying as those rare times I cum relaxed. Besides legs tensing is only possible in few sex positions. Its been maybe 3 years now I have tried cure this and I have tried everything, even fix mental side. Its been very frustrating, but still I think Im little close to solution every day and I still have hope. So any suggestions?
