    I'm going to try this during sex later this week to see what happens.

    I know Pirate (among others who've mentioned it) is an advocate of alternating kegels as an exercise. I was kinda surprised that it had such a dramatic effect for me edging though. It may just be that I've come a long way in the last 5 months (which I have) and the control I experienced here was down to other factors? Or maybe my original theory has some merit?

    I am interested as to your thoughts.

    I do this when I edge (mainly to try to keep the involuntary kegels under control). It works, but I can get aroused more when I hold a regular kegel compared to a reverse.

    I like your theory and your experience mirrors my own. I think that kegels pump blood into your erection and Rev Kegels retard the flow back out. And by taking control, you override the automatic responses at least somewhat.

    Ohhh, blood flow is an interesting way to look at it - The main reason I did it was to keep up EQ, and I had that pegged as a muscle thing only. Does that suggest that when you kegel, it's actually the blood flow to the pelvic floor that escalates your arousal... not the muscle tension? Or more likely a combination of both.

    God, I felt a bit stupid asking that actually - it seems so obvious, and I've spent so much effort working just with the muscles. If that was only a part of the picture, maybe that would explain why kegels and RKs aren't 100% effective if there are other forces at play. i.e. blood flow.

    I definitely felt I was overriding my automatic responses all the way, as I was constantly doing one or the other. Now I don't know if I needed to, or if that sets some kind of "brain precedent" but it's definitely something I'm gonna play with.

    During masturbation I can use the reverse kegels to eliminate the involuntary kegels, but during sex I cannot. I think they stem more from being so aroused that I cannot control them, because during masturbation I am far less aroused than during sex. I have recently been using breathing and doing a kegel only exercise and have noticed extreme results in a short amount of time. Last night I had a long sex session and I could have came but I had total control over it, she didnt come either but after a while we were all sweaty and tired and just said fuck it and decided to take a break and ended up just going to bed. The point here is this is the first time that I didnt have to ejaculate while she was making me so aroused and I was able to enjoy the sex more so then when I have preE and have to DO within the first ten minutes just to keep going so that she can get off as well. I would have liked to come with her because the first orgasm is usually the best for me and DOs arent nearly as satisfying without the release of the semen.

    While I do believe that with much practice you can control it entirely with reverse kegels and kegels, I have been having much success with just using regular kegel exercises and relaxing the pc muscles during sex rather than using a reverse kegel because any type of kegel during sex just brings me closer to ponr. Also I am starting to think that the stronger the pelvic muscles are, the less likely you are to get involuntary kegels because it takes more force to flex the muscles and the same sensations arent enough to do it unless you consciously will the muscles to contract. As well as doing kegel exercises keeps the muscles tired and they are less likely to flex involuntarily because a tired muscle is weaker than a rested one.

    I have been experimenting with kegeling long and hard during sex to force more blood into my erection. This increases the sensations but it also seems to forestall involuntary kegels and loss of control.

    For me it is the opposite pirate, unless I am losing interest or EQ I try not to kegel because it brings me closer to ponr, I have found that any type of kegels will do this when I am aroused. Probably stimulating the prostate too much for me to handle right now but as I work on it more I naturally have more control. It seems that a lot of people with preE arent having a lot of regular sex either. I have sex often and it really helps to improve stamina as you can really find out what works under the hardest of conditions. Dont get me wrong, I did a lot of solo work as well in order to get the whole DO thing straight and some edging to find where my ponr is, but ideally the best way to improve is just to have regular sex.

    What I've done in my own experiments unaware of what I'm doing or what is happening, during a wank (masturbation session), if I feel involuntary/unwanted flutters of my PC muscles I will stop all stimulation and hold a hard normal kegel for a few seconds. After that I am able to continue stimulation because it has dropped my rising arousal level due to the involuntary PC spasms.

    Do you think that this is just as effective as doing a RK which I have seen recommended elsewhere on this site? I feel it is overpowering the unconscious/involuntary PC spasm that lead to a higher level of arousal, therefore you are taking control and retraining the brain but I'm just not sure.
