  • Edging stuff

    I've started doing reverse kegels every other day and want to add in edging. I just want to clear this up.

    From reading around I'm under the impression that edging it just masturbating until you're very close to the PONR and then you stop all stimulation for about 30 seconds (or however long it takes for the urge to ejaculate has gone) and then carry on. You then work up to say 20+ minutes and if you want you can ejaculate?

    I've noticed that as soon as I hit that level of arousal where I'm very close to the PONR even if i wait until my erection is soft it shoots up super fast. I suppose this will get better in time right?

    I will be using a fleshlight STU which i feel is best as it's the closest thing to real sex.

    After about a month should i be able to notice lasting longer?

    No.
    Stop/start is the begining point of edging ,not the total of it .
    There are many forms of edging.
    You should improve with practise.

      As P said this is just the beginning. If you practice and are able to learn to start and stop you will last a long time and are on the way to a new and different experience no matter your age or your sexual experiences to this point in time.

        I am much older than the average dude here, so when I started p.e., it didn't
        take me long to learn how to edge for a couple of hours. I have even done
        some marathon three hour edging sessions. It was during one of those sessions
        that I got my base girth up to 8".

          So edging won't help me last longer? And is stop/start the same as edging? I'm confused :/

            Edging will help you last longer because you will get used to the sensations and you will learn when you are about to reach PONR. Start stop is a form of edging. There are loads of different ways to edge. I have to stimulate my head and frenulum to reach PONR so when I get close to this I just start to stimulate my shaft. This way I don't stop the stimulation just the intensity of it.

              As I have written/posted many times before. Edging is masturbation with some goal in mind. Usually that goal is to last longer but it can also be used for penis enlargement (ie. edging as a cool down or warm up).

              Start/stop is a specific form of edging usually done at the beginning of ones journey to fix premature ejaculation, later on you don't need to "start" and "stop" but just edge for a certain amount of time (usually 20-30 minutes) to keep in shape. But since at first you can only last 1-2 minutes you need to stop for a while then start again and so on. Edging (and there for a specific form od edging start/stop) can finish with no ejaculation or with ejaculation (pending on overall goals and at what phase of the fixing the premature ejaculation are you).


              When you start using edging your time will increase first by seconds (for example 10-20 seconds) then later on by minutes. The important thing is not to despair if sometimes you last even shorter (it is normal to have a sessions where you simply can't last long no mater what) and to be glad that you are even a few seconds further than before because second by second it adds up and sooner or later those leaps would be by minute.

              So in conclusion yes edging with or without fleshlight WILL increase your stamina (amount of time you can last until ejaculation).

                The way I do it is to just masturbate as normal using hand or home made toy, reach or get close to PONR and just slow down. Ride the edge for a while, then take a break every 6-7 min until my erection subsides. I do this until I have done a total of 20 minutes of edging excluding the breaks.

                What I'm wondering is why sometimes when I'm edging at or close to the PONR I loose part my erection, and therefore my arousal level drops rapidly at the same time. I can work it up again pretty fast but its still annoying as hell and hinders the effectiveness of it. (my PONR is pretty much when i get ejaculation spasm)

                    The other one is for example : closing to the PONR, switching to light balloonig untill the urge goes away.

                      Start with start/stop and as you do it over the extended period of time with fleshlight (for about 2-3 weeks more or less depending on many stuff) you will notice that you have less and less need to stop when you come near PONR after that make your goal to last 20-30 minutes per session and that should be alright.

                        So what are beginnner edging exercises and more advanced ones? Where do I start and then which edging exercises do I move to?

                        Is there a thread that has all edging styles and the level of hardness they are so I know to start with and where to go from there?

                          You are overcomplicating just start with start/stop and try to last longer and longer with fleshlight and you will be ok. Don't try to overanalyze and plan to much ahead, one step at the time is enough, later steps (if there is even a need for them) will come naturally.

                              For now just concentrate on lasting longer and observe what happens to your body (your pelvic floor) and your mind (level of arousal etc) during different times (close to ponr, at ponr, far from ponr, after ponr etc) do that for week or two with start/stop edging using your fleshlight, and of course try to enjoy.

                              Also open some log/journal so that you can keep all the experiences in one place and after two weeks or so post there how long can you last and your observations about your body, depending on that we will see what will be next steps (if there will be a need for that).

                              If you are watching porn allot, join the AP90 also and stop watching porn but continue to edge once a day (or once in two days, or how ever your rhythm is). You can also opt to edge without ejaculating then ejaculate every third day or so if you find that everyday ejaculation is to much for you.

                              In other words for now just concentrate on lasting even a bit longer while using start and stop, but edge with no porn, make a premature ejaculation journal/log and after a week/two or so post your observation and progress.
