While it doesn't improve much on the involuntary kegel spasms (at least not directly) I can definitely feel the contribution when it comes to hypersensitivity. The best solution (since I want to keep as much sensitivity I can, it helps with wave orgasms etc) it to gradually increase the grip until you find a sweet spot and then try not to go lighter, I think I found mine so I'm content. The reason for this is that going to tight to fast might damage your penis.
In that light I added an entry into the premE FAQ about the death grip and hypersensitivity:

A:While there are many reasons that can cause you to be over-sensitive, the usual suspect is the light grip one uses while masturbating/edging. If you find that your grip is generally light or that you are masturbating with two fingers only (ok sign) etc you might find it beneficial to gradually increase the strength of your grip trough edging sessions, and also use a full grip. However be careful not to increase the strength to much since excessive grip can cause problems raging from delayed ejaculation to some serious physical injury, so while the technique is called 'The Death Grip' it should not been taken literally. I think that the lube variation should be used when you want to get used too the high arousal high sensitivity rather than making your penis more desensitized, when you simply want less sensitivity in your penis no lube might be a better choice, however I am yet to really test this out, so it is just and educated guess.Last edited by Minuteman; 03-01-2013 at 02:56 PM.

I did the death grip with lube for 2-3 weeks and I was able to fix involuntary kegels with it. It reduced the sensitivity to great extent and I was able to edge for an hour or so. I was very confident at that time. But it somehow affected my EQ and spontaneous erections, may be it was overworked and I was not doing regular kegels at that time ...
So I started using lighter strokes and sensitivity came back. Now I use a combination of light and tight strokes. I can't do it dry. But rubbing sweet spots dry works, and it also reduces the sensitivity.

Glad to see soapy positive results from the use of the Death Grip, with and without lube. just please be careful guys and watch for negative signs like erection loss in and out of sex. Just cuz it says Death Grip, it doesn't mean you have to kill your penis. I personally believe that the reason the death grip works is because we have stopped touching the penis in a soft, light, sensual way and with loose grips. Touching the penis that way, in my opinion, is what has caused most of us to have hypersensitivity and an abundance of involuntary regular kegel spasms. We have mistakenly trained our penis to react intensity to the lightest stimulations. Whether you use lube or not or go dry to have skin on skin friction, as long as we are a bit more intense and tighter with our grips, our penis will need that kind of more intense stimulation to become aroused and to be able to ejaculate. The good thing is that the negative effects of the death grip can be reversed. Pegasus knows how.

Infact, I think I started lasting longer at sex when I starred jelqing correctly. That is a form of deathgrip on the shaft and part of the penis head, of you do it a certain way, along with ballooning and certain types of edging.

Everyone is different, obviously. However, how long was is before you experienced results James? How long did u need to work using Death Grip before you were "cured"?
