I started doing this about 4 days ago. I've just been trying it out once a day, not as an edging session. I can only last about 1 minute then I get the feeling I'm approaching PONR so I stop. And that's it, I don't cum, I just end the session there. I'm wondering, should I be edging like this? Or just trying to squeeze one out. Because I'm assuming those who developed DE weren't edging or taking their time in any way.
Also my penis feels a little raw and sensitive for a little while after doing this. I'm assuming this is normal, and I take it as I'm doing something right.
Those who developed DE from this, how long does it take you to finish when masturbating? I know sex takes forever, but can you squeeze one out masturbating in say a minute?

The death grip is better used after you've made improvements with lasting time in sex/ edging.
If you start with this its going too be too intense too early especially if you pre e with a light grip. Keep edging but don't do stop/ start method at least not all the time, its better to keep stimulation going however light or minimal.
When you start seeing improvements then adopt a tighter grip, but the death grip will probably take you a long time to work up to.

Why is it too intense too early? Isn't the point to just desensitize the penis a little bit here?
I didn't think the point was to last long while using the death grip, I thought it was just to toughen up the penis.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind winding up with a case of DE. That would be a whole lot better than lasting 10 seconds, which is where I'm at right now.
Obviously the involuntary kegels are there, but I really don't noticed them too much until I get to PONR. That's when I can just touch my penis and it jumps up and I feel everything tense up down there.
I honestly think my issue is the sensitivity, in which case I have no problems losing out on some sensation.

First if you last 10 seconds then the death grip is too intense way too intense. I've beaten pre e and the death grip is still intense for me most times. Second you dont want to desensitize your penis or get de, ask one of the members on the forum who've had or have it and they will tell you. Lastly if its a sensitivity issue, the death grip is not what you want anyway you should start ballooning, stimulate the sensitive parts of your penis for as long as you can ( however minimal) in order to get used to it like any training a person does.
Plateau edging will get you used to lasting longer while keeping stimulation going. You can start the death grip when your comfortable your able to stimulate for prolonged periods.

My first girlfriend that I had sex with regularly used to get pissed because I didn't cum fast enough. She thought I wasn't really attracted to her because of it. But it was just desensitization. I think the point noob is trying to make is your not going to make any great gains with a minute of deathgrip. Go back to plateau edging for a while til you can last 20+ minutes at least. You first need to retrain your brain to not hit the PONR so quickly then you can move on to working on sensitivity issues with deathgrip.
I was already able to edge for 30+ mins when I started deathgrip and could only last 5-10 with deathgrip but saw improvement with each session over a couple weeks and was lasting 20+ in no time but my brain was already trained to do so.
If yours is not I doubt you will see much improvement. You need to walk before you run. Work on endurance first then move onto intensity once that is mastered.
But your never going to make any gains hitting the PONR in a minute so reduce intensity until you last longer then add intensity until you last longer.

The whole edging thing is really hard for me. It takes me at most a minute to hit PONR, most of the time less. Then I stop, and I can stop for up to a full minute, and as soon as I get back to stroking, 2 or 3 strokes I'm back at PONR. I feel like doing that for 20 minutes wouldn't be doing much either but hey I could be wrong.
That's why I started using the death grip but I haven't ejaculated while using it yet. I would get just about there, then quit. Then get back at it the next day.
And all my sesitivity is in my head of my penis. The shaft I don't really feel much.
