  • Pelvic floor yoga

First of all I would like to say sorry if I had made this thread in wrong section but I've figured out it may help people with pelivc floor imbalance.

To say the truth I have no idea how to perform yoga exercises. During my kegel routine I thought it would be nice to incorporate yoga into my routine just to loosen up whole hip area and get rid off any of tension. I havn't found much information about exercises with 'search' device so I thought that it would be nice to put in one place that is easy to find.

I'm new to this so if you have any links showing how to perform exercises that target pelvic area please post them and I'll move them to the 1st post.

It would be nice if somebody that has experience with this excercise would share their knowledge. Any comments are welcome.

Do a search for the Sat Kriya. Carlos 21 here touted it's benefits and I've found it to be a marvelous exercise for male health. I do it every day for about 15 minutes and it really helps!

Thanks for your input. I'm adding this excercise to the post.

Lets make a test. I need few people with pelvic problems and without them to perform some of those excercises (havn't done them before) for a week or two . After that you would post your results here and what type of excercise you did.

If someone is willing to participate please post it in this thread so I will know that I'm not alone ;]

The butterfly stretch is a good one. It's the only one i have found where i can actually feel it stretching my pelvic floor specifically.

I've been trying to do this stretch every day for the last couple of weeks. I think my pelvic floor may be slightly looser in general but i haven't noticed anything significant. However,

the other night just before i had sex with my girlfriend (we hadn't had sex for about two weeks, so i would usually have ejaculated almost instantly upon penetration) i did the butterfly stretch. I noticed i was feeling very tense down there and i knew i wasn't going to last very long.
After the stretch all that tension was gone and i lasted for a few good minutes until PONR came on.

Just do a search for the stretch in google there are plenty of websites.

A note on performing the butterfly stretch: to feel the stretch in the pelvic floor, you have to lean forward slightly keeping your whole back straight.

And you would relate it to yoga mostly? Which ones you find more useful for our cause?

I have being struggling with PremE, RKs and Edging for 3 months. I can see good improvement but nothing really changed in fact. I am hoping this will help me.

Well everybody is different. Try doing all of those. You dont have to do it in one day. Just see which excercises give you a good stretch and after wich you are not so tensed up.

I did those exercises sunday and yesterday. They are cool, I may have noticed something. I will visita a yoga gym tomorrow for an experimental class. I have other problems such as stress, back pain and lack of concentration that might be benefited from it.

                    I'll give feedback.

I really think we are on something important here, arkham.

Take a look on this: http://www.ehow.com/about_6615457_pe...ess-signs.html Their approach on Pelvic Floor Tension, triggered by stress, infection or even rape, may be treated with breathing exercises, muscle relaxers and low grade antidepressants . One of the signs of this condition is muscle spasms, which is very similar to our case.

So... I have never tried muscle relaxers to see its effect on a sex or edging session. I'll keep it in mind.

I can vouch for yoga as well.

Any pose that stretches your groin is going to help.

Also, a lot of poses listed open up your hips.

Try doing something like frog pose & holding that position for 5 minutes (3-4 times per week).

Anytime your increasing flexibility in the pelvic area you're releasing tension.
