    Hi all,

    I've been coming here for a few months now reading posts but have finally decided to join in.

    I have PE! I have had it since I was a kid, before I even had sex for the first time!

    I would like to put it down to bad masturbation habits, but i'm not sure.

    I can usually last 1 1/2 - 2 mins during sex and around 3 mins during masturbation, that's why I started looking at this forum.

    I've started a routine of 70% reverse kegels to 30% kegels as I feel this may be my problem. I also do the start stop technique.

    Now, I can masturbate for 20 mins plus doing the start stop technique while using reverse kegels and having a couple of PONR which I stop at and let cool down. However, when I imagine sexual things I go from 20 mins down to 1 min.

    How can I last longer thinking of the sexual things?

    I've read about arousal techniques and the numbering system but I cant seem to make it work.

    Could my problem actually be more psychological than physical perhaps.

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Hi Pegasus,

    I've tried learning the different levels of arousal from start to finish and learning how to recognize and deal with them (delay them when I know they're coming).
    Using the number system as in 1 not aroused to 10 being the PONR trying to focus on keeping at number 7 (once I get to 7 the involuntry kegals start and the feeling of the ejaculate moving up into the penis and it shoots up to number 10).
    Breathing correctly, inhale through the nose while performing a reverse kegal then exhale through the mouth relaxing the reverse kegal.
    Trying to take my mind off the situation by doing maths in my head, thinking about what i've done that day or just looking around the room and thinking different things of what I see.

    I can last some time masturbating if i'm just not thinking of sex (trying to learn to last longer) but once I start thinking of it, it takes over and it's over before I know it.

    I think developing my muscles will improve the situation (when the involuntry kegals kick in performing a reverse kegal to combat it), but also learning to control my arousal more is probably key to the situation.
