    I've started doing RK a week ago. Here's what I noticed: They reduce the sensitivity a little bit, maybe 30%, but they don't prevent ejaculation at all. I'm single, so I use a fleshlight and I can only thrust once or twice in my fleshlight until I wanna cum. No matter if I hold the RK, or do multiple small ones, the ejaculation WILL come after 2 thrusts. Also I don't really have any problems with involuntary kegels. I can prevent them just by a little focusing, but I still cum!

    A lot of you guys have mentioned here that you can edge with porn, etc. That doesn't really count as success. Because when you masturbate with your hand, after a couple of edging sessions you will learn how to touch your penis in order not to cum and if you touch it some other way or jerk it in some other direction you will cum immediately. But doing it with a fleshlight makes sense. Because you would have no control over it.

    I think the guy who doesn't have PE, when he is having sex or masturbating with a fleshlight, he can't cum before a certain period of time, i.e. 15 min, no matter how much he wants to cum, he won't be able to. That's the situation I'm looking for.

    So what do you guys think about effectiveness of RK? Have you had a different experience? If they cured your PE, how did you do them?

    Welcome to the gym Mr.PE

    Reverse kegels do work but they are a little trickier than forward kegels, use your breathing to aid you, also try doing a forward kegel to locate the area and then slowly deeply breath into the area to stretch, with practice you will get the hang of it.

    Always remember to warm up/down, take rest days to heal/grow and pay close attention to what your body is telling you (PI's - your key to gains).

      Reverse kegels are effective, you need to learn to isolate the muscle movement first which takes time and requires practice, also it is best to balance your pelvic floor. You may also read about squats and yoga.

      The edging 101 thread has a very thorough discussion on various techniques to control orgasm but again, you will need to be patient and take time to practice, there is also a sticky about arousal control.

      Are you sure you are performing the reverse kegels correctly, you need to hold a reverse kegel well before the ponr.

      Basically, you need to relax your pelvic floor muscles and flex your lower abs to apply gentle pressure on your pelvic floor and stretch it out, like pushing out urine faster, and as pointed above, breathing is important.

      Remember to not strain yourself.

        I think I'm doing them correctly. I mean, how hard can they be?!! Also as I said I've noticed that the sensitivity is reduced, but ejaculation still happens. That's my problem. BTW, I'm doing them throughout the day and also in my edging session.

        Here's my question for you: Some guy on the "Success stories" thread said after 1 year of doing RK everyday, he was cured, and not earlier than that. Do you think doing RK for 1 year is gonna have a different effect on me, compared to doing it for a months or a week?

          Balancing your pelvic floor muscle may take some time, a month or more, it differs from one person to another.

          If you reverse kegel too close to PONR, it will not prevent ejaculation, you need to do it earlier, and make sure you are not tensing your pelvic floor, it happens, thats why it takes time to master it, patience and practice are a must.


          Check out deep squats and yoga, they can help you balance your pelvic floor muscles and make it easier for you to reverse kegel.

            It's going to take a lot more than just one week of reverse kegels to change your premature ejaculation. Having said that reverse kegels are meant to be done more when you are in your plateau phase so you can remain there and to stop your body your body from kegling. Once you reach PONR, reverse kegels won't stop you from cuming, only a kegel will. Even for that you have to have trained your muscle for it. It happened last night. I got too close to the PONR after about 10 minutes of edging. I can usually go a little longer than that. It happens. I had to kegel to stop and then I edged for a another 15 minutes. Once I dry orgasm I can go on for a while. I've gotten tired of edging afterwards. I have to practice it with the Misses and hopefully I have the same result. I haven't tried that yet.

            You have to remember that this isn't going to be changed overnight. I've been at it for months and have made modest gains. Perhaps you need to back up and edge with just your hands instead of the flashlight for now. Once you can edge for about 20 minutes then consider using the fleshlight or consider using imagery first. This is a long journey, not a 100 meter dash. Good luck.

              Thanks for your help. But I don't really understand. I do RK during the whole edging session, from the beginning to the end. You are saying I shouldn't do RK too close to PONR. So when I get close to PONR (which is 2 min into the session), what should I do?

              EDIT: Bigdaddy55 is saying I should to regular kegels when I get close to PONR. What do you think?

                I thought if I do kegels when I get close to PONR, I'll ejaculate faster! So you are saying I should do RK only until I feel like I'm gonna cum, then switch to regular kegels (for how long?/how many?), then switch to RK again. Right?

                  I suggest you start with the start and stop technique, which is ceasing all stimulation before you get too close to the PONR, then after the urge subsides, resume your session.


                  Regular kegels bring the ponr closer, unless you are aiming for MMO/DO I suggest that you don't perform a regular kegel as you are already suffering from Pre-E.

                  Try to relax your pelvic floor throughout your edging session, and reverse kegel before the PONR, not right at it.

                  If you are not doing it correctly (ie, tensing your pelvic floor muscles) you would be urging the ponr instead of delaying it.

                      Kegels will make you cum faster, however, when you've reached that PONR, the only way to stop is by doing a kegel. You are tightening your muscles and not letting the ejaculate come up through the penis. I think MR.BB has it right when he says you should focus on the start stop method. When you think you are going to cum stop and breath deeply. Calm down and then start over again. Just keep repeating that process for now.

                        RK's only relax your pelvic floor.

                        Your problem is the same as mine, reaction to stimulation, not a tense pelvic floor.

                        I'm with you, I only edge with a FL bc it's a true test for how you'll last during sex.

                        That being said, gooo slowwww.

                        Like one thrust, stop let your body relax, then thrust again.

                        The goal is to get used to the stimulation and not hit PONR for as long as possible.

                        if you only thrust 10 times a minute at first, that's fine, you're reconditioning your ejaculatory response.

                        Try using one hand to massage your pelvic floor while holding the FL in the other while thrusting.

                        This will relax your pelvic floor and add some other sensations so you're not only feeling them in your penis.

                        i had the same issue when I started and this got me through it.

                        Continue to do RKs outside of edging, but focus on going slow and getting used to the stimulation while edging.

                        also, make sure you aren't clenching your ass when you thrust, use your legs and hips as the former is basically doing a back level every thrust.

                        i noticed I was doing this a few weeks ago and since adjusting it's really helped.

                        stick with the FL, I know these early sessions are hell but it does get easier.

                          Are you COMPLETELY sure you don't have involuntary kegels? I would be very surprised if this was the case in a situation this bad.

                          They can take a few different forms. The first is random bursts of IK during edging, these will make your penis jump and are fairly noticeable.

                          However, you can also have a type which I suspect you might have, judging from the severity of your case. This is just a single long kegel hold, which you may not even realise you are holding.

                          Too see if you are doing this, at the start of your edging session, hold a RK. Place a hand in the area of your pelvic floor muscles (between anus and testicles) and stroke once. Chances are your RK will be over powered by a kegel.

                          I could be wrong, but it would be unusual to have such a bad case with no pelvic floor issues.

                          Also, RK need to be used back from the PONR which is why they aren't working for you.

                            I don't understand this sentence. What do you mean exactly?

                            Until a week ago I didn't know what IKs were. When I read about them on this forum I realized I have them all the time during edging. So now I just focus on my pelvic muscles and prevent any IK.
