  • Psychological PE - which anxiety supplements?

    I was a premature ejaculator every since I became sexually active at the age of 20, currently 30. My long term girl of 8 years left me mainly due to this issue. It was a extremely stressful relationship as well which probably contributed to my issues. After our break up I quit masterbating and watching porn and took up heavy weight lifting and dropped 60lbs. 8 months later I met my current gf. Up until recently, for the past 14 months I have been lasting about 5-10min on the first round for the most part. For the past week, I have been having premature ejaculation again, lasting only 2 mins. Me and my gf are very sexually active and have sex on a near daily basis. Admittedly my anxiety seems to be going off more than usual lately. When you are a premature ejaculator for 8 years that shit never leaves you bros. I find I am always reminded of my past issues no matter how much I try not to think about it, especially as things are getting heated and we are kissing. The psychological PE info basically tells you not to think about performance to overcome this. At times I am successfull in not thinking about performance but I still ejaculate quickly. I want to add, I have been cleared by urologist and endo that all is well. I do believe my problem is performance anxiety. I also have inconsistent hard soft issues with EQ which seemed to have improved by increasing good fat in my diet but I did have issues last night. I was on the 5gs to try help this but discontinued with the exception of green tea as it didn't help. I stayed on the green tea capsulse for anxiety. I also take fish oils and 10000IU vitamin D daily. My mood is good and I am not stressed. I am still lifting heavy 3-5x a week (including 5 sets of deep squats). Christmas killed me this year though and I gained 30lbs. In the past couple months I have also masterbated to porn about 5-6 times. For the guys with psychological premature ejaculation, which natural supplements do you suggest for anxiety? Any other good info out there about overcoming psychological premature ejaculation? I even tried a SSRI last night to no avail, done in under 2 min. What does this mean if SSRI doesn't work? Does this sound psychological to you guys? Please share your thoughts.

    Anxiety is not the issue. You can't last long because you've never lasted long ( entire life ).
    Masturbation is the same yes?

    You need to las longer by lasting longer. Practice edging and controlling your arousal and your build up to orgasm. Now it's just straight to orgasm, with nothing inbetween, you skip past the pleasurable feelings and sensations. As the first sign of pleasurs it's...... game over.

      1) Side effects of SSRIs may include, among others:
      Nausea.
      Nervousness, agitation or restlessness.
      Dizziness.

      Headache.

        Ssri's are definitely not worth it. No drug is.

        Theory is that ssri's delay ejaculation by boosting serotonin. I think it's the result of physical side effects. Muscle relaxant, mild sedation, vasodilation are some of the more relevant side effects of these drugs that lead me to believe it's a physical issue.

          I think 5G's, Fish Oil and Vitamin D is making you horny and is counter productive for premature ejaculation in my experience.

          If you are interested in supplements, you can give a try to vitamin B3 (also called Niacinamide, Nicotinamide, Nicotinic Acid etc.) or Inositol. These are good to calm down the brain and also help with premature ejaculation.
          I take this supplement in the morning and this in the evening and both of these have good impact on anxiety and pre-e.

            Thanks for the responses guys. The thing is I was lasting 5-10 min between April 2014 and May 2015, it's just this month I started having pre e again. It seems as if reducing my stress and cutting out porn and fapping rebooted my brain. I relapsed into masterbating and porn but the sessions were really spread out. Maybe 5-6 times in 2 months.

              Also, I don't believe I am too horny either. I get it everyday and when I don't see her for a few days I don't really have a desire to masterbated or anything. When I was on no fap for 60 days I did not have desire to masterbate, odd as a lot of guys claim they go insane from how horny they are lol.

                  Yes I did read the link. The whole time I have been practising stop start in a sense as I would have interfourse until I am ready to ejaculate, then stop and finish her off with a clitoral orgasm and then she sucks me to get me hard again and then we continue intercourse until I finish. How does stop start differ from edging? I definitely did reach plateau while I did not have pre e issues, now as you said I struggle between excited and orgasm. I don't believe I get IK's either. If a spasm is defined as the tickle feeling shortly prior to orgasm then yes I do get those.

                    what do you think about other supplements for rising the serotinin. I was taking ashwagandha with no success, now I'm thiking about getting st. john's wort capsules, or do you suggest something else?
                    I'm taking multi-vitamin complex, which includes B3 and other B complex.

                      I have tried different multivitamins and b vitamins and finally I am settled on the vitamins which I have already mentioned (niacinamide etc). These are the vitamins for stress and these calm me down. Looks like these increase gaba or serotonin etc., and decrease histamine levels.
                      So my conclusion is don't take general multivitan or b complex. Try vitamins specifically formulated for stress.

                        Maybe for your stress try Sun Downs L-Theanine Stress Relief Formula.

                        For premature ejaculation try buying Horny Goat Weed Supplement. Make sure it says "WITH MACA." Because Maca Root is an aphrodisiac used to aid premature ejaculation. Then Horny Goat Weed is just good for sexual health so it's not a bad thing to take anyways. Don't simply take the recommended 1 capsule dose of 500mg, maybe try a total of 1g, three times a day. Or try 3g, one time a day. Or maybe even try 2g, two times a day. This could possibly be helpful.

                          Not sure if I am onto something or just out of my slump. Last night unfolded as follows: edged for 25-30 min. I can't even get aroused enough to maintain a solid erection, I was at about 4-5 EQ up until the last 5 min. As soon as I flipped on porn, my erection was as should be. This edging session ended at about 8pm. Immediately after I went to the gym. I came home at about 9:40, smoked a bowl and took half a 100mg Viagra at 10:30 (hard/soft issues). At about 11pm I did approx a dozen deep squats and stayed kneeled down for a few reps. Right after this my gf came into bedroom and I proceeded to pound her at a medium pace for about 15-20min. I did have 2 episodes of hard/soft during the session (yes despite the Viagra) to which I stopped, received oral to get it back up and then continued intercourse. I'm a very passionate guy so during kissing I like to make it intense (kinda like how you see in movies). My gf stopped me and said calm down, kiss me slowly. At this point I realized maybe this is the part that is getting me overly excited. However, I have always kissed her passionately even when I didn't have pre e issues with her. I must also add my train of thought was good, no anxiety, nervousness or thinking about performance/orgasm. This is easier for me on some days than others. Will have to keep experimenting. Thoughts?

                            I would cut out the weed, or at least cut down, and stop taking Viagra altogether.

                              So if I'm correct, you're only on niacinamide (B3) at the moment?
                              I will drop the multi-vitamins, and try with niacinamide (B3) only (can't find Inositol).
                              And maybe I'll add horny goat weed extract if I'll find one.

                              I'm taking Omega capsules also, and some sports supplement like L-arginine and ISO + glutamine + creatine powder and gainer afterwards when I'm doing sports.
                              And drinking green tea with ginger in the morning.
