  • 15 years of experience and observations...

    Hey guys,

At a loss for finding anything insight or useful googling this kind of information, I thought I might reach out here and see if anyone shares my experiences or has any insight.

I'm currently 35 years old. I've had lifelong PE. At 35, I can honestly say it is no better than when I lost my virginity at age 20.

But saying I have PE isn't really the whole story. I can honestly last as long as I want – provided I go slow enough. Which isn't any fun for her. I can go very slowly, and occasionally might have to stop for a few seconds. So I have plenty of awareness and control – provided I stop when I'm close and go slowly – which has zero chance of getting her off, in my experience.

My only shot at picking up the pace is thinking of horrible things while having sex. I'm not talking baseball. I'm talking nightmarish, disgusting, horrific, traumatizing stuff. And that can't be healthy. But, hey, I've had 15 years to practice. And maybe that increases the pace from slow to medium slow,at best.

Another observation in my 15 years and 10 partners - alcohol helps. A lot. In fact, it cures it. I haven't been able to drink enough to lose my erection – ever. This includes being drunk enough to puke and black out. If I have 5-6 drinks, I can last as long as I want. In fact, sometimes it makes it impossible to finish, despite zero loss in EQ. Whatever the root cause of my condition, this has to be a clue. But of course, being hammered every time I have sex isn't healthy or even possible usually.

Another observation. Desensitizing sprays hardly help at all. I have used Promescent before sex once, and solo a couple times to experiment. I recall using about 5-6 sprays before sex and it helped somewhat...but nothing compared to alcohol.

Just now – which is in part what motivated me to write this, I used TEN SPRAYS of Promescent. I waited 10-15 minutes. It barely had any effect. Of course, when going solo I'm not thrusting while trying to ignore my partner and mental envisioning of being tortured and raped in a dungeon or whatever my imagination can conjure at the time. But my goal was to stimulate myself similar to real sex and see what happened. Almost no effect.

My take away from this is that the physical nerve sensitivity on my dick doesn't matter much. It all has to do with whatever ejaculation reflex is going on, and that mine must be more hyperactive than normal.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone else?

Honestly, I'm very close to going to a doctor and see if I can get a Prozac prescription. I'm not depressed but if nothing else helps solve it I will be, so maybe it's just preemptive.

I'm sure some of you, if you reply, will recommend certain exercises to try. And I may try them – but you'll have to forgive me if I'm a bit skeptical. Once I've seen what alcohol can do, and the fact that a blowjob makes me cum almost instantaneously when sober (seriously like 5 seconds), it makes me very skeptical that anything other than a chemical/physiological treatment will be of much help at all.

Sorry for the super long first post.

Hey SamSG. I'm 36 and I have/had (still working on my premE goals) a very similar problem. I've made a lot of headway in the last 10 months trying to get over it, but my wife and I enjoy a much better sex life even though I haven't reached my personal goals. I'll try to keep this short, because there are a lot of different factors involved.

    1) Stay around here and research posts. There's tons of info on this sight that will help you. The only cost is your dedication and time.

    2) Stop using porn if you haven't already. I'm not saying give up porn forever, just stop until you retrain your body.

    3) Start on Minuteman's DOE routine (or something more beginner friendly if someone can chime in). Even if dry orgasms aren't your goal, it will teach you how to control your pelvic muscles that directly control orgasms. The important part is to exercise ALL FOUR muscles for balance: kegel, reverse kegel, root lock, and reverse root lock.

The ultimate goal is to become intimate with your pelvic floor. Understand how your body reacts to stimuli and stress. The other goal is to retrain your body to enjoy the act of stimulation, and not just the orgasm itself.
    Current :+1" BPEL; +1.45" MEG /Measured: 1-24-2017 (start: 4-1-2014)
Primary Goal: +0.25" more MEG; Secondary Goal: +1" more length

Well the thing is, a "pill" in the form of ethanol essentially cures it, albeit temporarily. Zero sexual side effects.

I'm willing to put in some work on this, don't get me wrong.

However the point of my post is that for my case in particular, it seems to be neuro-chemical / nervous system component to it. If I can use an SSRI to treat this, as long as I don't get any serious side effects, I'm more than willing to give it a try.

I have not. Although years ago I tried Orajel. It was a fine line between not applying enough and still being trigger happy, or applying too much and getting ED.

I feel like every time I have sex sober, it is one long (or short) frustrating edging exercise.

Do you practice deep breathing? during sex and during your day? Breathing is the most important one to control your arousal level! try not to hold your breathing while you have sex.. always breath deep.. BREATH WITH YOUR BALLS
Try to do all kind of exercises (Reverse Kegeling!!!) which will relax your pelvic floor.. Begin with yoga I am not kidding.. stretching will help a lot.. You have to get rid of the tension in your body.. especially the pelvic region..
                      Start: BPEL 6.1 - BPFSL 6.7 - MEG 5.9 - July 15

                      Current: BPEL 7.0 - BPFSL 7.7 - MEG 6.1 - BEG 6.3 - May 16

I say try the SSRI. You can either spend your life struggling with this or take action. In the meantime, work on edging and breathing. Or sit around cumming in seconds.
                        Start 3.16.15 - 7bpel, 6bpel, 5meg

                        Current 1.19.16 - 7.85bpel, 6.6nbpel, 5.3meg

                        Goal 1.19.17 - 8.5bpel, 7.5nbpel, 5.75meg

You sure give me the impression you are trying to duck the work.

Do you discount the fact that some people have cured their PE with SSRI drugs? Do you believe me when I say that with a sufficient quantity of alcohol, that my PE goes from severe to non-existent?

I think you've pigeon holed me as a "quick fix or forget about it" kind of person. Nothing could be further from the truth. If the only thing that works is some sort of reconditioning program (no porn, pelvic floor exercises, kegals, etc. etc.), I will do it.

But every bit of evidence in my mind points to the root cause being a neurotransmitter issue. Some people have had lots of success with 5-HTP (which I'm trying currently).

If I can pop a pill and fix it (with no significant side effects), I'll do it. Wouldn't you?

Thought I would add my thoughts, I came to this site a year ago after suddenly starting to premature ejaculate. I have found plenty of useful information.

Anyhow a year later I still have found no real improvement. I edge for 30 minutes a session 3 times a week. The past 2 months I have totally gone porn free as well.

I don't have IKs or a tight pelvic area. I'm physically fit and eat healthy. Anyhow my partner recently gave birth to our second child, but 2 weeks before she did we attempted sex and I ejaculated before penetration, so in a year I have gone from a 6 minutes man to 9 months a go to a 30 seconds man to a 0 seconds man. Point is mine is mental PE I'm sure off.

PEGASUS I understand you have seen many a chancer looking for a quick fix pill, and you have helped countless people on here, but what works for some people does not works for others.

I recently went to the doctor and started taking Floxetine 20mg, one of its known side effects among others is supposedly delaying orgasm. I thought long and hard about taking Fluoxetine due to other people saying it can effect erections and seriously effect sex drive, I have suffered erections problems in the past so was wary.

I currently 4 weeks in and my sex drive is at a all time high and I am getting regular hard erections.
Due to my girlfriend recovering from a c-section I am yet to have sex while on fluoxetine.

I am still edging and doing squats and hopefully will see some improvements, will keep people posted.

                              Thanks

                              Wakey j
