  • Clarification on my gains

If you look at my log, you'll notice I've gained a rather substantial amount of size in my first month of JP90. I've seen a few people who've gotten tremendous results in a short period, but I want to address why I think I've been so successful.

First, I am taking care of myself now. I drink a gallon of water a day, I've stopped using porn, I'm back in the gym, I've begun intermittent fasting and I'm eating a whole foods vegan diet. I am not here to push that or debate the merits of it, only to say that my diet has gone from crap to me cooking highly nutritious meals every single day.

Second, I've lost 10+ lbs of body fat since I started and my blood pressure has dropped from stage 1 hypertension to below pre-hypertension levels. Those two things compounded make a HUGE difference. It's only natural that my blood flow will be dramatically increased and accessible.

Lastly, I've been listening to my body and nurturing my favorite appendage. I pay close attention to my unit, and I make sure to listen to what my body is telling me. If I need a third rest day, I will take a third rest day without hesitation. JP90 is a great routine but you can't stick to a rigid plan with no flexibility. There have been times where I felt like skipping a rest day, and times where I felt the need to add an extra one. Don't get top hung up on 5/2. It's a guideline, not a hard, empirical science.

I hope this was helpful. The reason I wanted to post this was because I'm sure somebody will be in disbelief and I also don't want to mislead anybody to think that JP90 is doing miracles and have people ashamed or discouraged that they haven't had the same success. Much of my success has come from a complete 180 on my lifestyle and I'm sure I won't see those results every month. Of course I hope that I will, but realistically, it's not gonna happen. Keep up the work everybody and don't ever give up!

Inconsistent, at best. I got too heavily addicted to porn so without it, EQ was poor.

This was one of the things I hoped somebody would take away from this and I'm so glad you did. I really appreciate the encouragement, it makes this whole thing so much easier and so much more worth it.
