Hey guys. I have a girlfriend who cares a lot about her instagram. She wants more followers. I do not see the reason for this. She just told me to share her instagram on my profile, but as i do not want that kind of activity on my profile i told her no. She seemed pretty down about it and told me why? She said all her other friends did it. Am i being an asshole?

People are collectors, whether it be likes on Facebook or followers on Instagram.

Don't do it if you don't want. You want your profile to be a bit more private so stand your ground and don't feel bad for it. I had a girl like this who was all over social media posting skimpy pics all the time and flaunting herself everywhere. I didn't care for the way she carried herself seeking attention from all kinds of men so I dumped her on her ass. Wasn't gonna deal with that shit long term. Needless to say she's single at the moment and acquired a baby daddy in the process after I sent her on her way. It's one thing to post pics of your life but it's another to do it in an attention seeking manner. She's probably a very insecure individual who needs constant validation. That shit is DRAINING.

We all figured she was young. She'll MAYBE grow out of it in 10 years who knows. Honestly she sounds like a pain in the ass and not my cup of tea but best of luck to you and good on standing your ground.
