  • Decreasing sex drive?

This may be an odd question for this forum in particular, but are there any good, and healthy ways to decrease one's sex drive?

There really isn't a way to decrease your sexdrive that much naturally and my biggest fear is growing up a dirty oldman who can't score chicks in their 20's anymore.
Seriously though, you just have to learn to deal with it. And whack it like it's a whack-a-mole game.

Hit the weights really hard in the gym, then finish up with some sprints/walk sequences. Maybe eat just protein and veg and restrict your carbs if you're feeling a little masochistic. Basically everything that hardcore bodybuilders do that overloads the nervous system will reduce your sex drive.
Some people say smoking herb reduces their libido. For me, it's completely temporary. If I smoke up one day I won't feel much like having sex, but then the second day I'll still feel as horny as two days without sex.

For me, I just had to take care of things every other day...sadly with time and age it has slowed down a bit. That said, at least in my 30s it seems to be driven more by if there are any prospects. If I'm talking to a few girls and things might go somewhere I'll notice it is always on my mind, but if there is no one for a 2-3 month period, I notice it much less.

Thank you for the advice! I do already engage in heavy lifting and cardio almost every day of the week. I try not to masturbage too frequently, as it seems to negatively affect my PE (I feel overtrained). I also do not smoke weed. I may try changing up my diet as you suggested though, and see where that takes me. As for why: I feel like I sometimes have a higher sex drive than my partner, so I would like to try to bring it down a bit so that we are more or less on the same level, if that makes sense.

Why would you want to decrease it? Unless it is impairing your ability to go to work or form normal relationships; it should be a good thing.

Well, I wouldn't say its impairing either of those things! But I do sometimes feel like my sex drive is higher than my girlfriend's, so, it is not a rare occasion for me to want sex and try to initiate it, and for her to turn it down or to not be interested. So, sometimes I would like to be able to decrease my sex drive in order to better match hers. That's really it.

I may be waaaaay off base here, but I'm just taking a guess... Maybe helping? Who knows.

Most women aren't really turned on and given the proper foreplay, thus turn us down. It's typical of men in general to just go straight for sex/penetration know what I mean? If you read sex advice forums/columns you will read a lot of girls wanting their boyfriend's to either care about them, or do more foreplay. In my recent years, I rarely have been turned down. My current girlfriend, she has only turned me down a handful of times, and we have sex almost every single time we see each other. She has told me she has never had anyone able to so easily get her going. I don't say that to brag, I honestly don't, just to imply that if you want more sex, maybe there is something you can do on your end to have her want to say yes more often.

Addiction, I suppose I should have mentioned this before, but, currently my girlfriend and i are long distance, so "sex" right now comes in other forms, such as using Skype, sending pictures, etc. Although, when we see each other, I usually am pretty heavy on foreplay, and, in person, there is still some disparity in our sex drive with me wanting a little more, but not nearly as much as now. Now, through long distance, it seems like I want to do these things much more than she does.

I also find that when I study a lot, drink espresso throughout the day and get into a "cerebral" space, I feel less sexual.
