About rep. points.

Why can't I look up which post I got rep. point for?
I usually don't look if I got any but I sometimes do and when someone writes "Excellent point, I agree" I want to be able to check what I've said that was great.
As today, I can only see in which tread I got rep. point for, but usually you replay more than once in a thread.

Would be good if we could look up the good (or bad) critic we get. If not, you'll know what good/bad you have done.

If you click on the name of the thread for which you got the rep points -- from your user CP page, I mean -- it takes you to that thread, but not just anywhere in the thread: it takes you to the post you got rep'ed for.
Does that make it more clear?

Ok. Since I am new to blogging, what are rep points? What does it mean? How do you check them? Are there any other cool features that members should know about?

Rep points = reputation points. You get them from other people if they like your posts. You can check and see what rep points you have -- and for which posts -- by looking on the bottom of your "User CP" (= User control panel), which you can get to through the menu under "My Account" at the top of any page.

When you get enough rep points, the little gray box under your post number (under your avatar) turns green. You get new green boxes over time as you acquire more rep points.

To give someone rep points for a post, you go the little white symbol for scales that is under their avatar for that post, and click on it. There you can pick positive rep points (what we use mostly) or negative ones (if someone says something you disapprove of).

It is rather silly but we all enjoy it!
