So who's the greatest goalie of all time in your humble opinion? ( and don't say yourself)The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

In my opinion, I will list a few in different eras as the game changes. The 70 I go Rogie Vachon, Bernie Parent and Ken Dryden. The 80s I go with Billie smith and Grant Fuhr, the 90s I ould easily say Eddie Belfour, Patrick Roy and Dominique Hasek. 2000nds I like Tim Thomas and Ryan Miller.
Prior to the 70s, Terry Sawchuck and Jocques Plante. Notice I didnt say Brodeur, he is great but has never done anything without great players. I find him to be a great goalie but somewhat overrated.
The best ever in my opinion is Patrick Roy, played on two teams I hated and still made me think he was great, maybe Parent if his career had not been cut short due to injury. I also like Lundquist, kiprusof and as an up and coming great I like Jimmy Howard.
Who do you like Cusp?Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before

I enjoyed watching Kenny Dryden play but it was also nice just watching Billy Smith beat the crap out of people. Now that was a team; Smith, Potvin, Bossy, Gilles, Nystrom, and the had a center who was pretty good. Do you remember his name? The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

Would that be Brian Trottier, Ron Hextal was also a great leg breaker. Its funny that evry one remembers Billy Smith because of his hacking but he was alsoa fantastic netminder, he had a great teacher in Glenn (Chico) Resch.Last edited by BigO; 01-30-2012, 08:12 PM.Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before
