    Hello everyone.

    I thought I'd make an announcement in the Success Stories subforum.

    I've been off all porn for 90 days.

    My addiction got worse in my teens, peaking probably at age 16-17.

    Quitting has done wonders for me and my health in general has taken a turn for the better. My sexual health and fitness has of course improved a lot.

    My libido has finally normalised and I don't sexualise things, focus on sex too much, objectify women any more. However, my sexual imagination (when I let it run loose) is very vivid and powerful. I've also overcome a big barrier to EQ, which is overmasturbation. I don't masturbate more than 3 times a week now simply because I don't feel I need to, which means my EQ can continue to rise.

    EQ and stamina have seen wondrous improvements but then again I have also been doing a focused PE routine since September.

    90 days without porn, any day without porn, feels like an achievement I can take strongly into any future relationship.

        Big congratulations A3!! It's great to see someone put in so much work to their goals, and then reach them!

              Nice one!
              It's a hard habit to break, only managed a month myself before slipping back into watching porn without noticing. But my EQ was phenomenal back then.

                Congrats, 29 more days then I can join you myself in this feat.

                My fitness and EQ have been improving also. I've always seldom masturbated but I still focus on sex a lot/ objectify. Confidence and ability to express myself has risen too, it's nice being social.

                          i just dont see how this truly has an effect on someone. I've been watching porn without a 90day break since i was young. But how does porn affect your health, fitness, and EQ? I edge to porn and i dont really find a trouble getting very hard, i actually cant really enjoy edging without it. Same thing with jelqing its usually to it as well. What i fail to understand is how this is a problem if in reality whenever i get hard it's to a girl anyway. And how does no porn affect fitness? I'm 175 10% body fat and i exercise everyday of the week. It's not like you stop watching porn and suddenly you become a fitness expert. I think this is more mental than anything.

                          In a 30-40 minute edging session how would i even stay hard? Wat would i think about? Maybe i'll just have to try to find out but i just don't see a real reason to. I feel like the only way this may be possible is if you sort of detox off porn for at least 2 weeks and dont ejaculate once but perhaps do a little bit of edging for as long as possible each day along with your PE routine. If you have any insight i'd love to hear it.

                              The interesting part that i read is the fact that methamphetamines hijack the same dopamine triggers that sex do. As well does porn.

                              However, if looking at porn stimulates these same dopamine triggers which then adds the accumulation of DeltaFosB, causing addiction, what would an action such as edging do? Wouldn't edging to no porn then be stimulating yourself, rewiring your brain perhaps, to be addicted to your hand? After sensitization of edging with nothing in front of you then what? Or is it not possible to desensitize yourself to plain edging because there is no visual stimulus such as porn, or a female, being provided in the first place besides the physical sensation?

                              It seems that porn triggers the mating response for us males which then releases the chemicals associated with the pleasure because mating is what our brain is wired to do while we have the chance. We just always have the chance with porn. If your brain does not consider edging to be part of a mating response, but perhaps just a physical stimulation of pleasure that releases dopamine such as running, what does this mean. Does it make you want to edge more? Which wouldnt be a bad thing necessarily.
